    Hi,

I recently picked up a book by David Lynch, 'Catching the Big Fish', where he praises Transcendental Meditation highly. Does anyone have personal experience with TM and can explain how it differs from regular meditation? Also, there's a number of TM teachers listed on their web site www.tm-ireland.org - can you recommend one of them from personal experience?

    Thanks!

    Hi cheesemonger,

TM is a mechanical technique that effortlessly allows the mind to dive within itself. It does not require any concentration or contemplation.

The TM technique is taught by a TM teacher of the same sex as the beginner. It does not matter which TM teacher teaches you since they are all taught to teach the same by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

    Anymore question, please reply.

This link will not show you how to practice transcendental meditation as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
