    Pat Shortt's interviw was fine.

    Lorraine Keane's interview was boring.

    These games are embarrassing.

Ryan is a plonker. Oh please don't let him be the new LLS host.

Yeah poor enough alright. Can nobody in RTE see how foolish the "audience game" is. Why not have it on before the show to liven the audience up, but for god's sake dont air it.

Ryan was rude to Lorraine Keane I thought. Kept interrupting her like a five year old. I hope he isnt given the Late Late gig either.

if it's car crash...why watch it?, sad part is the government will want US to fund this sorry excuse for a broadcaster through a big licence fee hike this year.

Is he still 'borrowing' audience participation ideas from the Ellen show on tv3?

You're saying that as if Ellen was the first to introduce audience participation. In fairness a lot of TV chat shows in the last 30 years have taken ideas from the late late show. Shock horror! But seriously the game was a shambles tonight. But still a bit of a laugh. There's nothing wrong with a bit of craic and seeing people embarrass themselves on TV.

I think Ryan interviewed all the guest well. He can come across a bit stuck up sometimes but I get his sense of humour so it's all good.

No, sorry, that isn't what I'm saying at all.

It has been noted here and elsewhere that the Tubridy show has on previous occasions used "comedy" audience participation routines identical to those that have featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show as shown on TV3 lunchtimes in the weeks prior to Tubridy's broadcasts.

Im not suggesting that Ellen invented parlour games, I'm suggesting that Ryan Tubridy's research team watch daytime chat shows and arent afraid to integrate borrowed material into their show when they've run out of original ideas of their own.

Gotta say that Lorraine Keane is painful!

That false laugh is extremely annoying. Thought she looked quite old on the show as well.

Anyone know if there are any tickets available before the season ends? Have been at the show on standy before but got an 'auto reply' saying 10,000 now on the waiting list!

They should give her the Late Late Show

But I think he should get TLLS just so we can have threads like this one for the next ten years. :D

Sweet Jesus just walked downstairs to the sounds and sights of ol big ears and audience members making a holy show of things. I've always disliked him but these antics have lowered my opinion of him even furthur. Who thought the bar could be set any lower?

Tubridy represents everything I hate about Ireland. The man has had everything handed to him on a silver plate. His granddad was Director General of RTE, his uncles were government ministers, his cousins are TD's. He's never had to do an honest day's work in his life. He's been a parasite on the TV license since he was in his teens, he was given his own radio show after college and TV show without even 'serving his time' like other presenters had to eg Bláthnaid on kids TV or Brian Dobson being a reporter.
Now he lacks any humility. He treats his studio audience with an arrogant contempt borne of privilege and nepotism. He was on The Afternoon Show canvassing for his brother's election campaign - the single biggest abuse of public funded television I have ever seen.
The mad thing is there is a fairly small but loyal cohort of people who think he's brilliant while everyone else thinks he's a self-satisfied gowl. There's no middle ground on the guy.
TLLS? I'd love a You're A Star type show over the summer. Sure we'd end up with an RTE gonk at the end but we'd have weeks of voting off the rest. Imagine the faces of disappointment on Mooney, Daithí etc.

Great rant, I never knew all that about him. That sad thing is, with that background you chould go to paddypower.com and throw your house on him being the new TLLS presenter
