Total or partial respray

    The lacquer is flaking on the bonnet of my old barge. Should I get the bonnet and two wings done or bite the bullet and go for the total respray? I would be afraid that if I just do the front it will look like a crash repair because it will probably be difficult to match 16 year old paint! There is just a small bit of surface rust on the lip of the bonnet near the catch and the start of another small bit on the edges of the rear wings inside the tailgate. If I go to the trouble/expense of spraying it, I want it to look right. I don't want to change the colour.

    What should I expect to pay for either?

    Panel resprays talking 400 upwards imo.
    As for a total body respray it depends on how thorough (or deep your wallet) is right. basically ya can have the panels sprayed cheapo and it'll be *ok* or talking 2k+ depending on size,colour, other body rust and paint style.
