Need help identifying a film

I saw part of a film a few years back on late night tv, can't remember much about it, but the few details I remember include the fact that it was American, set in a high school reunion, and there was a scene in which one of the characters who was a musician pulled out a guitar and played a song which had the lyrics "you don't know me" in it....

I know it's vague, but just in case, does anyone happen to know the name of the film?

Not much to go on there!
Maybe find the song first and Wiki it see if it's used in any movies

    Google for those lyrics

I think that's right, though the song is "You Don't Own Me". (It's in quite a few movies, including Dirty Dancing and The First Wives' Club.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Ha I'm beginning to think the same thing! It looked like a very small indie film, I didn't even see the whole thing, bit I'd love to find it and watch it again, it's kinda just always been in the back of my mind, y'know?

Did you recognise any of the actors?
