ZDnet are reporting on a new range of PearC mac clones being released. Just wondering what people's opinions are on this kinda thing?

If it passes what challenges Apple throw at them, could this be the beginning of a whole range of os-x boxes being sold? Anyone consider buying one?

No, the whole point of the Mac is the tight integration between hardware and software. People are willing to pay a premium for this experience. I don't believe for a second that OS X will run smoothly on those things.

I can't find any reviews but would it not be a case of using some components apple does and supported ones found by hackintosh people?

There's nothing to stop the hackintosh components suddenly stopping working when OS X is next updated though. Like Sad Professor said, a Mac is pointless if the hardware and software aren't working together harmoniously. If you're going to have to hack the thing together, you'd be better off building a Linux box to begin with.
