Can't sign into Gmail

    Hi all,

    Was using gmail earlier...everything working fine.

    Came back now and can't sign in. Tells my me username and password are incorrect!?

    I've been using the same combo for years and I didn't go near any settings etc. Tried resetting the password, still waiting on the email to my alternative address.

    It usually remembers my password - however it had signed me out!

    Can't access it on my iPhone either.

    Has my account been compromised? :confused:

    It's working fine for me just now. If you're still having problems I'd suggest you follow the steps in their help section in relation to potentially compromised accounts.

    Working fine for me as well.
    They had a problem about 2 weeks ago didn't they where the whole thing was down?

    Thanks for the replies lads....

    Filled out the account recovery form so we'll see what happens.

    Hope too much damage isn't done....if I lose the account I lose 4 years worth of emails :mad:

    If you do think that your account has been compromised then think of what information might have been in it. Change any passwords on websites which would have used that email address. Change the email address on these websites. Change your security question / answer / etc.

    My gmail account has a bucket sh!t ton of importance: its tied to paypal, steam, etc. and has saved password mails for dozens of web pages. When someone hacks your account its not a stretch to take over everything you own, digitally speaking.

    Sorry to throw in the obvious but try typing your username and password in a text file and copying them over sometimes we don't realise when a button is malfunctionining and it simply just isn't getting typed or we're making a typo we didn't notice.
