Laptop wont open emaild documents

Hi all, Problem is, me laptop wont open or save any documets that have been emailed to me by other people. really wreckin me head. Any one got any suggestions as to what might be wrong-i have got microsoft office with word and the lot so i cant figure out why they wont open or save Thanks

Hi all,

What are the file endings of the documents? i.e .doc .pdf etc?
