I ordered a pair of Whimsic Miaow boots after wanting them for over a year. Problem is the size 5 was sold out, so I chanced a 4 as i take a 4 or 5.

Just wondering does anyone own a pair & what the sizing is like on them.

    Cheers :)

I've about 15 pairs of IC shoes. I'm a standard 4, sometimes even a 3, but I find the sizing on IC to be a little tight, usually in the toe region.

I tried them on and they were a tight fit. I find Irregular Choice shoes to be a small fit usually though.

I find their fit quite big actually

I've narrow feet so I found my usual size was falling off me :( they were a present and couldn't be returned either. Insoles a plenty!

Actually I just did a count. It's probably more like 20 pairs, all in their boxes and several additional sample pairs not in boxes.

Lucky thing!! The boxes are too cute to throw out and it helps keep them in better condition and keep them neater!!

    Hope yours arrive soon OP!

This thread has made me fall in love with these boots,

How did you get on with them OP?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 810 ✭✭✭ha-ya-said-what

Well I got them Monday :D, took longer cos I was not paying Rip Off Ireland Price & I wasn't going up north just for them lol I got them sent to family in England & brought home to me when they were coming back home.

Size4 fits fine (Looks soo tiny too) but all I can say if very hard to get them on & off at the mo so will def need breaking in!!

I just saw a pair of Turquoise knee highs online. 'Irregular Choice Too Risky' I love them. My problem. I'm usually a 6 but can be 6.5. I have wide feet (Cinderella I aint). There's only a 6 or 7 on offer. I have a feeling the 6 might be a teensy bit tight. Annoying thing is that the IC website says their 6 is a 39, 6.5 is 40 (Don't carry the size) and the 7 is a 40.5. I've seen them on Ebay and they quote the 7 as a 40. This really annoys me. Any advice rom IC vets would be good as I haven't seen them in town, so it's all online guesswork... Thanks

I have over 20 pairs of IC shoes, I'd recommend you go with a 7 in them. I have a couple of pairs of 4's, most 5's and 2 pairs of 6's. Schuh sell IC shoes try on a pair of any of them in there with the same toe shape as the boots and they'll give you an idea. BTW I saw the boots your on about lol I was ooggling at them saturday!! Alas I have wayyy to many pairs!:D

I have bought IC shoes from this crowd
    http://www.branch309.co.uk
They offer free postage to Ireland and although they only have a small selection, they are CHEAP.
I bought these for my niece for Christmas £30 inc postage- hope she likes them

Branch 309 is owned by Schuh, the reason they sell the shoes so cheap is they are slighty defective or the last of lines they sourced from somewhere. ALWAYS check over every purchase as there has been loads of complains against them from customers who received defective items and shoes that fell apart only a couple of months later

:eek:Thanks for the heads up, I will unwrap those shoes and check them out. I would hate to think of my niece running out on a Saturday night and having her shoes fall apart !

Ohh I got tricked with them once after requesting that they did not dispatach shoes suffering damage to the soles or uppers!

The Irregular Choice shoes tend to have colour peeling away from the leather, so look out for any wee scuffs or tears on them. Alot of the damage on the IC shoes tends to be along the back stitching on heels and where the heel is attached to the shoe. And if they are from an older line and have not been wrapped properly the side of the shoe lying down against the card board of the box tends to be dull where the colour has rubbed.

Most people look at size 7 and automatically go eur 40. Id believe the IC's and go with the 6.5 is a 40

I'm so glad I can't find my credit card after looking at all those IC shoes!!

I am currently trying out a pair of IC Antique rose in black and silver at home seeing how long i can last walking in them. Got them in Schuh this morning. They're sooo nice but if I can walk in them for long they HAVE to go back :( The heel is deceptively high!

If your bringing them back make sure you haven't scuffed the heel and give the soles a good wipe down with a wipe, if they spot you've been wearing them they won't take them back.

A lot of people have the same problem with IC shoes, most blame it on the thin soles, so try them with some party feet or cushy insoles and a test run on carpet before bringing them back. I have no problems with them at all once you have your right size in them.
