    Hi,

Anyone know what information Revenue generally require from a company (construction subcontractor) when applying for a C2 Certificate? Any additional requirements where it is a UK company?

    Thanks

They look for reference letter from a prinical contractor who you will be working for. The letter will have to detail the value of the contract including dates and locations.

    Thanks,

i had heard that for non-resident subcontractors they may request certificiates of tax compliance and other employment details for each of the directors of the company for the last three years...Can anyone confirm/deny?

on the face of it, getting a C2 seems quite a tedious process, or maybe i'm wrong?

The UK company would have to register for tax in Ireland and on the registration form you would include all the directors details. They also look for proof of identity of the directors for non resident companies. But yes your right, tax cleance certificate is also required.

Another option is to from an Irish resident company, you can appoint one Irish resident director with no share capital. This would make the application process easier.

I've done this exercise for UK companies before. You can send me a private message with specific details if you want more info.
