Not much of a surprise seeing as he might be off to prison soon.

Now that you mention it there are a few American footballers either in prison or could soon be in...

    Michael Vick - Dog fighting
    Plaxico Burress - shooting
    Donte Stallworth - DUI/manslaughter

3 big name players in a lot of trouble!

    any others?

Burress should be sent to jail for being a twat and managing to shoot himself, not for carrying a gun illegally.

    Albert Haynesworth
    Marshawn Lynch

Man... Stallworth shocks me, I was sure he was headed for a great career when he left the Patriots, but he was injured and then did nothing when he did get fit last season and now this.

They really do need to get some sort of mandatory counselling in the first one or two years of the league for these guys.

Maybe there are just more players, but compare the amount of scandal/the size of scandal in the NFL with the Premiership. People don't shoot themselves/kill other people in the Premiership. Or very often anyway. And the "came from nothing, now has everything" argument doesn't hold because there are professional soccer players who come from African or South American slums, and they don't shoot themselves in the thigh...

Google Colombia and Soccer players. Those who are lucky enough to get to Europe escape the crime culture as European law generally doesnt allow guns etc etc. The problem with some NFL players they are influenced by gun cultures at a young age in the hood or ghetto or hunting you get the idea. But pro soccer players in Central America and Southern America face the same type of sh*t its just not national news to the rest of the world.

You can take the kid out of the hood but not the hood out of the kid.

Once a hick always a hick.

    :D
