Was just wondering how expensive it really is to have somewhere like this for a wedding. It seems stunning and the meal prices aren't too bad but what about rental etc that seems to go along with most castles... has anyone recently had a wedding here? What sort of costs did it amount to for the venue?

are you looking to book for the reception as well or just for the ceremony? If you are just looking for a beautiful setting for the ceremony Ardgillan Castle now (thanks to moi!) are hosting ceremonies. Its a lovely setting, with the castle overlooking the sea and gorgeous gardens. And its not mega expensive.
