Been rumours about Cushing for a long time because of the way his body shape changed so much. If they've been using steroids it's stupid, if they had any sense they could just have used HGH

No punishment as they are not contracted to the NFL yet. So the NFL cant remove them from Draft unless prosecuted afaik.

Teams will still take risks on these guys and tell them to quit.

Will surely affect his stock though especially because "great size" is something that people have been liking about Cushing and... I don't know anything about steroids, but it's a stretch to think he could would be just the same without them, right?

I suppose it depends on the extent, etc.

Also the taboo about marijuana in the off-season must surely be getting tired by now. Like... Randy Moss admitted it, dozens of others alluded to it...

80% College students in the US smoke it :D:D NCAA are nuts if they think players dont. Every party you go to there is going to be a healthy supply of weed floating around. I would say if they tested every single college player in the off season they will find a high percentage of them have smoked it.

As for the steroid thing the NCAA still dont have full control over the usage of it. The testing is not as widespread as they would like to have it. I know guys who went into college as freshmen and bulked up using steroids but most once bulked up came off it and used supplements to keep the development going. Like any other sport there is ways around it.

I seen the USC pro day workouts and you just knew that Cushing was on something with the size of him.

Well they did try to arrest Michael Phelps for smoking a bong.

Michael Phelps, breaker of Olympic records, one of the greatest athletes in the history of the world.

But still these redneck cops are thinking along the lines of 50s radio propaganda about weed leading to Satan, heroin and moral depravity.

The rumours look to be false according to the testing authorities.

A few of the sites that reported what draft bible blog had reported have now taken their blurbs down. There is a history of false reports being filtered through the media including a fabricated one about Mario Williams a few years back. Didn't hurt him in the draft. Roid usage is unfortunately prevalent and most of the the time the players evade the testing. It wouldn't surprise me if Cushing or anyone else was on the dope. But if we were to go on appearance we could question loads of players at both the NFL and college levels.

It is a bit stupid for them to test positive when they know the test is coming. So it makes sense that they wouldn't.

I'd reserve judgement on this until its backed up by a more reliable source.

In relation to Cushing this is nothing new, but maybe he's just a work out warrior and he's been noted as a good charachter guy. As for Clay Mathews, he entered USC at 180lb's and is now 240ish - but then again they're basically professional athletes so its not that shocking.

Mattthews, Cushing, Raji all appear to be in the clear now.

Its rumour there are less than 10 names on the drug test fail list.

I hate to say... but I'm convinced most NFLplayers and college players in the draft are on HGH

Harvin seems to be the top name guilty for testing positive for dope. What a plank.

Yeah, you can grow pretty quick, and go back down again. he was a safety originally and they would have put him on a bulk diet to grow to play LB so there is a possibility. One international rugby player I know went up 42 pounds in about three years.
Personally I've just gone from 287 down to 224 in 13 months and in previous years went up 35lbs in just over two years through lifting, and that's not on a athlete type basis. A dedicated workout warrior would go up a lot more.

Here is some draft drama for you. I had a huge post written out for a new thread with the title 'pick your teams draft picks' and mozilla crashed. I just don't have the heart or patience to start again. A real draft drama for me.
