    Howdy folks,
few of us in waterford get together every sunday to do a bit of a group cycle, the weather is getting better as the weeks go by and theres nothing better than a nice long cycle out the countryside on a sunny day.

we meet every sunday around 1 or so at the book center, hang about for around a half hr chatting and then make our way out the road.

if anyones interested in coming along.. (its better than sitting in front of the tv ;) ) its free, ye can come and go as you please, we are trying to encourage more people to get out on their bikes for their own reasons.. keep fit, see the countryside, to actually do some sort of exercise etc. etc.
and to bring the kids or anyone else that might have a bike.

for more info you can check us out on

Have you seen the posts about the new Waterford Sportif cycling club ? Their first spin is at 10am tomorrow morning from Woodies on the Cork Rd (only out to Tramore and back). Might interest you or some of your colleagues....

You guys are more than welcome to join us this or any other weekend we will have 3 seperate groups with 3 seperate paces and distances to cover, so should be plenty for you guys. But I'm all for freedom of expression and that so it's really up to you guys, but don't right off the idea of some thing more formal like a club .All I can say is show up one of the days and give us a shot I think we might need some anti disenstablishmentarians!!!!
Man but that speal has me very discombobulated.

Waterford Cycling Club has not been in operation in Waterford for many years, Sportif Waterford Cycling Club is a totally new club which has been set up in the city for all types of cyclists.

The website will give you additional information and also membership costs.

The fees by the way cover insurance in the event that you decide to faceplant into the tarmac or some motorist decides to rear end you etc... worth having if you are doing any sort of decent amount of regular cycling..
