Do you get back dated pay?

Hypothetically, if you finished college at the end of April, could not find work, but did not sign on until, say, June, would you get pay back dated from the end of April or only when you signed on in June?

As far as I remember no, you only get back dated to the date you first signed on - like if it takes them 6 weeks to sort out your claim, you get the 6 weeks money.

You'd want to have an extremely good reason. So extremely good that I can't think of one.

As I always tell everyone always sign on as soon as you have to. Don't wait, you can only lose.
