Nice dentist recommendation?

I had a very unsuccessful trip to the dentist this morning.....I went to get a wisdom tooth sorted only to be spoken to like a 4 year old, and was even asked to give the periodic table references for hydrogen?????? When I got upset and finally asked him to stop talking to me so condescendingly he told me to...and I quote....'be quiet for a minute BABY' at which point I got up and walked out.

So ....was I just uber-sensitive or was he an A*hole?

Also can anybody recommend a nice dentist somewhere in dublin city, dublin 8 region?

i feel sorry for you.going to the dentist is bad at anytime let alone when you're spoken to like that.when i was about 11 in the uk i had 2 wisdom teeth and a couple of fillings in one sitting and it wasn't good.put me off going and will only go when i need to.hope you find a good one,i need one at the moment but can't afford it.

i dont think you were being over sensitive, its totally inappropriate for him to refer to you as baby! he is a professional, it is out of line, you are not his girlfriend, you are a patient attending his surgery and he needs to treat you in a far more appropriate manner.

and fair play to you for walking out, most people would just sit there and take it.

what a creep, i have a dentist phobia as well and have found it really hard to find a sympathetic dentist. iv settled for someone with no personality but at least they dont insult me. iv lived in a few countries and ireland is still in the dental stone age as far as im concerned. a friend who got work done in budapest said the irish have a really bad reputation over there for having the worst teeth in europe.

Good for you walking out. He wasn't very professional. More people should speak out especially the price they charge in the Republic of Ireland. Rip off

It's dentists like that that put me off going for ages as had similar experience. Have a really really nice dentist in dental hospital at moment & I thank my lucky stars for her!!

I used to go to this guy when I lived in Dublin. Well worth the round trip (I was in blanch). He was great. Nothing was a problem. He also shared my motto which was "No pain, good".

    Dr Paul Mcevoy
17 Fitzwilliam Street, Upper Dublin 2
    01-6761464

You can mention the guy from Creative Labs referred you. I fixed his reception pc years ago after it got abuse from playing Quake!!

Well, what do you think about to search online to find best dentist near your residence? I think it would be a great idea.
