I live there. Some of the buildings are newer than others so those apartments are a bit fresher. The apartments are fairly spacious and the maximum number of people per apartment is 3.

It's a decent enough place to live, a few minutes walk up the road to the IT.

Any good buildings to suggest, not down the back and not right up the front?

you dont get to choose what building youre going to live in dude. ide say get a 2 person flat too, cause you could end up with 2 ejits.

If you are early, and you are not happy with your initial apartment choice, they may be able to help you change.

I lived there from '05-'06 and was first given a ground-floor apartment. Went back and asked if there was anything else and was given one on the top floor somewhere else. Was pretty sweet too because the people I was living with moved out in October so until December I had the place to myself without any rent increase!

I think they do block some stuff. It's similar to Glasan. Though I expect they're just trying to protect the network. I heard some virus got in a few years back and messes up loads of people's laptops.

I thinking about staying here in September. I'll be going back to college (23 yrs old). Is it all 18 yr old first years that go to college for the craic? I'd prefer quieter housemate(s).
Also what does the penthouse consist of?

dont be fooled by the name, penthouse..that means nothing, there usually smaller than the normal apartments..there just on the top floor thats all....too much.
