My husband reckons he needs a complete health check.

Anyone know where he can go do this? Is his GP best?

What should he get tested for? He is approaching 40.
    Cholecterol? Prostate? Heart health?

Lots of GPs run those kind of checkups.

The doc will know what he needs checked.

Just ring your GPs surgery :D

your Gp is probably the best port of call in the beginning anyways. They'll be used to people coming in asking for this sort of thing and will more than likely be able to run through it all fairly quickly. Then if anything further is needed then they'll be in a postion to follow it up or pass him over to the relevant specialist.

I got mine done in the Well clinic in the Beacon before xmas, but that was when you could claim 41% back in tax.....

Yeah, it's expensive, no doubt. I'd be interested to know how much a GP would charge for the same. Will he charge €60 for putting your head in the door and refer you on anyway?

But hey, your health is invaluable, right?

And where would he get an ECG done?

Can only go by my own price list where I'd do the 495 one for less than 180 !!
(wouldn't give you a "light refreshment after " , although might stretch to one of the lollies I keep for kids)

the GP can decide if thats needed or not and then if they can't do it will refer him to probably the local hospital services to have it done.

Righteo will tell him to get off down to his GP.

Would chest palpitations be a reason to get an ECG done? He is extremly fit - runs marathons regularly.

Just go and chat to the GP.
