even FTA satellite and Freesat satellite has DVR and a good range of channels.
Some MMDS is DVB-s, ext NTL areas so can use the Cable DVRs, and is entirely Digital. Ex Chorus MMDS is in many areas still analogue and Digital. The Cable PVRs aren't compatible with Chorus area MMDS.

Free Satellite OR Sky Pay TV are both better services than ex-Chorus MMDS.

With free satellite you need a TV aerial for the Irish Channels as on Satellite they are only available via Sky.

It is only available on the Cabling system in Limerick at present but as far as I know its due to be rolled out later in the yr along with Broadband running off MMDS system, which has just been tested and passed but I cant get an exact date from anyone I know as UPC are very tight lipped about what there rollout which is a little silly.

They are also replacing the cable boxes with a new one which you can take anywhere in Europe and simply ring them for a new card for the area your in. They are made by Pace...and are huge...bigger than a dvd player...

Sky plus or Sky Hd are a very better option in my opinion but it depends on what you really want.
