Hi we drove through Wales last week in our camper, it is very mountainous but the scenery was fantastic. There seemed to be lots of Hostels, and Caravan Parks but they appeared to be closed when we were there. We took the A470 from Holyhead to South Wales and crossed the Seven bridge to Somerset, but on route there was lots of parking areas where you could sleep overnight. The only notices present in these areas were to take your rubbish home with you, so it should be okay to overnight in these places. Enjoy your trip. PS also plenty of restaurants on route in lovely quaint buildings.

If you have bicycles bring them as the cycling is great. Lots of coastal paths for walking. Down south there a themepark called www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk which I'm sure the kids would enjoy. Another good reference is www.visitwales.com
    Enjoy the trip.
