Hi all .... going to be doing a lot of planting herbs in plastic pots for domestic use. Need about 300 8-10inch plastic pots and I can get these from the UK on Ebay for £70 including (unfortunately postage of £22 to Ireland) so the pots price is actually £48 Sterling excluding postage. Does anyone know of anywhere in Ireland one could purchase and get delivered 300 8-10inch plastic pots for better than this quote of approx €80 or approx €52 excluding postage? Oh I'm in Cork btw ..... Thanks :)

Did you try any of the plant Nurseries?

PS how will you irrigate 300 8" pots? A lot to manage and avoid drying out?

be hard to do much better than this. We are a garden centre in North Cork www.thesecretgardener.com and looking at trade prices u would do well to beat that. Otherwise try contacting garden centres for old 1.5/2lt pots. We all have pot mountains. You would need to wash them but could save some cash.

    Good luck

It's not really .... a lil bit of dedication will do it

Tks for the advice... but Ebaying to the UK seems to be the best choice having done a 24 hour search/think on it

My sentiment too ..... these work out at 17 cent per pot basically (includes 300 pot 5" markers too) so have to go for it tbh and ignore the postage .... getting into herb growing purely for domestic use at the mo ... will have 70 plus types of herb hopefully in the near future..... but will prob if they start to grown increase the nos to to swop with neighbours for home grown veg or otherwise .... sign of the times! smile_regular.gif
