Why didn't the island travel through time when they first crashed or did it? Have I missed a trick or did the time travel only start when Ben moved the island?

Why would it time travel when flight 815 crashed?

Ben turning the wheel was the first time the island moved on the show(that we know of)

That's one thing I'm confused about - how the leader of the others (that italian guy) seems to be everywhere in time and doesn't age. e.gif

I thought Eloise said the island is constantly moving through time and they could only say that it would be in a certain place at a certain time. Was moving the island changeing the when or the where? We dont really know if turning the wheel moved the island through time. We only know that it moved the losties through time.

well by turning the wheel the island moves out of sync with our time and pops up randomly for a short period, and only during one of these periods can people actually get to the island, and when you turn the wheel again it just stops wherever it is at that moment,

it seem the indiginous people are imune to this affect, which is why sun is probably indiginus to the island in some capacity, maybe like ben and locke, not born there but indiginous

815 crashed cause desmond didnt input the numbers in hes station, and the electromagnetic force that was released forced the plane to crash
