Never liked Hadden myself. Didn't seem like a manager who would take his side anywhere and really ended up creating a team based on his own favorites and not on merit. Don't think Scotland can do worse then him now!

I actually thought Scotland were showing signs of improvement in this years 6N. There back play looked at times threatening and considering the state of Scottish rugby as a whole I don't think they will have top managers queing up for the job!

Not surprising. He didn't make any notable progress in my eyes.

Frank Hadden has stepped down as head coach of the Scotland national rugby side with immediate effect.

The former Edinburgh coach, 54, was given the job in September 2005 and enjoyed success in his first Six Nations, recording three victories.

However, the 2007, 2008 and 2009 campaigns yielded just one win each.

There's not much Haaden can do with the quality in players he has, but his decision not to start the Evan's brothers and Patterson seem to be his downfall this year.

Who'd take the job now? Andy Robinson?
