degree level marking scheme

    Can some one please explain the degree level marking sheme for me?
    i.e. what percentage gets you a 1.1? What gets you a 2.1?

    I think in general you need 60% or higher to get a second class honours degree grade I (i.e. 2.1) and 70% or higher to get a first class honours degree (1.1). But there may be some other conditions depending on your course.

    Here's a link to the University Marks and Standards for 2008-09. This might help you.

    70+ in Arts is a first class honour.

    60-70 is a 2.1
