    Hi people,

Just wondering is there any one here who works in a nursing home (as a nurse)? I am applying for jobs in nursing homes but i have only ever worked in the hospitals and am a bit anxious about working in a nursing home? Whats it like? Is the roster the same as the hospital as in week off nights and all that? 2 long days per week?
    Any body got any information.?

(Im probably posting this in the wrong tread)

Not really - there are loads of nurses on this forum - but i think most of them are hospital based.

short answer is that nursing homes can be totally the same as hospitals in terms of rosters, time off, nights etc and at the same time totally different.

You could have 1 where you'll do a few nights every few weeks, and another, right next door where you'll never ever ever do nights. You really need to ask them, as they really are that different.
