I would appreciate if you could give me directions from Waterford to THomand Park for Saturdays game. I know how to get to Limerick but need to get directions to Thomand Park and would appreciate if anyone knew where is a good spot to park for the match.:)

Stay on the main Dublin road,go straight through the roundabout beside the parkway shopping centre (can't miss it). keep going straight until you come to a really small roundabout and take the second exit off that. Keep going staight out that road and it is nearly impossible to miss Thomand. As for parking... get there early and you might get lucky, there's a few scools around the stadium that open up for parking etc.

I'd park this side of the city and walk... it's crazy trying to get away form Thomond afterwards. I prefer a bit of a walk and then once you get to the car you can drive as opposed to sit in traffic.

Last time I drove up from Waterford I parked in the Train Station and got a Taxi across town - parking is a fiver for however long yer there. I walked back from Thomond however, it does get messy on the outskirts of Limerick where the Cork Traffic merges ..

That's from Dublin? Waterford/Tipp road comes through onto the Ballysimon rd.

I assumed they joined up with the Dublin road, my bad if it doesn't. If you come down by the Ballysimon road, you'll join up with the childers road at a roundabout that you take the last exit off, then at the end of the childers road you'd be at the Parkway roundabout.

Be sure to be at stadium 20 minutes before K.O.

    Enjoy the match!!! :):):)

Leave early because every time I go there for the games it takes anything between 2 to 4 hours. The longest I've been in traffic heading to Thomond was 4 and a half but that was a Friday night Heineken Cup game. I'll be leaving at around 2 on Saturday.

They have now (finally) launched some park and ride facilities for Thomond:)

Also for those driving, we have been advised of the following Park and Ride Services.

A new Park & Ride facility will be in operation from The Limerick Racecourse for all matches at Thomond Park starting with the Leinster match this weekend. The racecourse can facilitate up to 2000 vehicles and this service will be operated by Mike Hynan Coaches. Departures will commence at 4pm on Saturday and the return fare will be €10 per person.

This operator is also operating Park & Ride services from the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel on the Dublin Rd and from the Radisson Hotel on the Ennis Rd. These services commence at 4.30pm and return fare is €5 per person.
