Just moved down here and found a game in a pub in Bishopstwon. Anyone know of any other pubs that do poker nights around here?

    Cheers

That pub game is in Quinlan's you jackeen.Quinlan's have a €30+2 freezout on tuesday nights 10k starting stack 20min levels, finger food and final table dealer dealt by a lunatic(great craic he calls for the suck out cards before they appear if they come the pub erupts as if a last minute point has been scored by cork to beat kilkenny in an allireland)Usually gets 40/60 runners.
Friday is a €40+3 freezeout same as above.
Saturday afternoon is a 30+5scalp game afaik. They also run a 10 week league freeroll that the pub puts up the dough for as well as various one off bigger games and sattellites. So if pub games are your thing this is the best in Cork. The games are generally soft and they are a friendly bunch. The guy running it is as sound a bloke as you are likely to meet and will make you feel welcome as if he has known you all his life. Can I give this game any higher praise?Quinlan's is a 5minute walk from the Opera house heading towards Blackpool. Its directly opposite the Garda station on the Watercouse Road.

If its a casino game you are looking for the Macau club has nightly tournaments ranging from €40+5 to €100+10 with 10% deducted for the league. These are in general very crapshooty and are run with a pub structure/pace.They are fully dealer dealt though they start at 8.30 and its located on Patricks Quay.

Cheers, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Sounds very similar to the game in Bishopstown on a Monday night. I'll check this out next week.

Btown bar usually gets about 30-35 players, €12 entry, with unlimted buybacks for the first hour plus top up option as well.

Winner usually gets around €230, €120 second, €70 3rd, €40 4th and free entry the following week for fifth. There's a league as well which €2 of the entry fee goes into. once the pot reaches €1000 whoever's top wins. I think there's prizes for the top6 or 7. not sure on that.

theres 500 added to the prizepool in quinlans every ten weeks so then the top 20 play a free game for 1500

Not sure about douglas, but I'm pretty sure there's a game on in the Rochestown Inn on Monday nights. Never played there so no idea what it's like.
