This might seem like a silly question!
I was wondering how long it would take for a beginner to finish the Warriors run if they slow jog/walk? Say half ran, half walked.
At the moment I run 3.2KM in 20 mins, and calculated for 15KM thats about an hour & half. I doubt very much I'd get that time, but I'm wondering if I'd be over the cut off time for 2.5 hours.

So, 10 minute-miling for your 3.2k (2 miles). Let's say then 12 minute miling for 15k (9 miles) = 1:48. Say 2 hours to be on the safe side.

But this is on the assumption that you're fit enough to run (or at least run-walk) for 2 hours  What's your longest training run?

Any calculations based on what you are running now simply won't work.

As previously mentioned, it's based on the assumption that you can run for two hours non stop.

    Oh god I'm screwed!!
I'm following a beginners running schedule, so at the moment I'm only out a half an hour running/walking.
    Screwed, I tell ya!

    Hi Moondancer
don't be so hard on yourself- you have plenty of time! Just week by week try to build up the time you spend on your runs. Say on sundays go for a 30 min run, the following week do 35min/45min/55min etc...or whatever feels comfortable. If you're running 30 mins now you should find that ok.
I did the warriors run a couple of years ago and there were plenty of people walking the ENTIRE distance so don't worry about not finishing.
    Good luck with it!

Aww thank you :D I can see little improvments everytime I go out. I was just hoping I wouldn't still be on the top of the mountain when the time finished for the race. :o
