PS3 Region Free

Hi there, Just after getting PS3 there roughly a month ago and I though the machine was compleatly region free. Last night I tried to play a DVD that was not Region 2 and it would not play it. Would I be correct in assuming that the PS3 is region free for games and blue-rays but not for DVD's? P.

Only the blu-ray games are region free
Everything else is region enforced unless the producer makes it region free

Most blu-rays movies at the mo are region free. i think fox are the only ones who enforce it.

The machine is region locked its just most of the games and blueray disks dont have a region code on them. DVD's do thats why they wont play.

And the PS3 games are region free thats probably where the confusion was !
