Hey Guys & Gals. I've had a look over a few previos threads and haven't really been able to see much.

Basically Im looking at doin a bit of maintenance on my Toyota Corolla. Nothin major, just new wiper blades, engine oil, mud flaps & Hub Caps.

What are peoples opinions on where to purchase this stuff. Where do ye usually shop for general every day car stuff?

    Any help greatly appreciated

Id go to your local Toyota dealer for everything bar say the oil and wipers, prices arent too bad and if they dont have it in stock they can get it in 24 hours. Might be a touch more expensive but if your doing the job yourself you can spend a little more on genuine parts.

Nothing looks worse on a car than cheap hub caps IMO. Otherwise a decent motor factors for the oil and blades.

Motor factors ftw! I'd only use halfords as a last resort.

Some of Halfords own brand stuff isn't bad. Got their replacement wipers recently and they're surprisingly good...same as their car shampoo.

Absolutely, a lot of Halfords parts and oils are a lot more expensive than the local motor factors, won't get much advice either. :)

Dont' forget a sump washer - annoying when you drain out the old oil and it dawn's on you you'll have to use the old washer:mad:

    Not Your Ornery Onager

I can just see my local mechanic's face when, just as I'm walking away after giving him the keys, I turn and say "Oh, nearly forgot! Check the mudflaps and the hubcaps too, will ya?". :D
