Couple of problems with my computer

    My PC is a few months old but seems to be having a few problems.

    Specs;
    Asus F5SL series
    Vista home premium
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2ghz
    2GB RAM
    ATI 3470 hd graphics

    It freezes occasionally. It's never happened when running a large program or gaming but has happened when browsing the net or word processing. I havn't a clue what is causing it, the screen will just freeze and I have to hold down the power button to get it to turn back on.

    Also, the DVD drive doesn't seem to be working propery. If I try to use it, it will often make a noise as if it's starting up only for the noise to fade and it will repeat. If I try to take the DVD out, it will flash as if preparing to eject but will not eject until I close the program running from the DVD in Task Manager.
    Any help welcome

    might be a faulty memory stick so try Memtest to elminatate that suggestion first

    as for your DVD it just sounds like the drive is knackered
