Anyone have any experience of Felt Z100. I know its bottom of their range but been offered a deal I cannot really walk away from.Really wondering if it worth upgrading the components on this frame.Even with a top upgrade this would make this a very cheap bike. Its not stolen by the way.

Frame is still entry level. Generally it's not terribly worth upgrading, upgrading is expensive so you can be better off just getting what you want in a package. What's the deal, and what are your own goals?

Me I just love to cycle.Have a basic Trek 1000 on which I did 14 challenge rides and about 12 club league races from the leisure group.Got thru TOI08 and Wicklow 200 etc.Doing the same again. Price < 450 which with it being a triple is an added bonus

Fair enough but the Felt is basically the same level as the Trek you already have, so I wouldn't see a lot of point moving to it. Is the < €450 a new price? If so, that is a good deal.

Sounds like you have done a lot, would you consider something like a carbon Planet X or Boardman around the £1,000-1,200 mark? You would probably spend close by the time you upgrade the Felt. Alternatively maybe look out for something with 105 or Ultegra second hand.

Blorg Thanks for the replys. Not able to upgrade at the mo though I'd love to. It was just when the offer came that I had to think about it.So posted quest.
Bike brand new off the boat.
This year will be a repeat of last year event wise so the engine has now got 2 years mileage under its belt so Trek will do fine. Maybe new wheels would be a better investment

It's a very good deal for a brand new bike, I just reckon you probably don't need it in particular!

Do you mind me asking where you were offered the z100 at 450? I'm shopping around for a starter bike at the moment and that's a brilliant deal.
