Help needed ds screen replacement.

I got a replacement screen from dealextreme and tried fitting it.
replaced all connections,even those small cables after fitting.

Now when i turn on the ds the power light comes on,screen flashs and then turns off the ds.

Any ideas where have i gone wrong?


SORTED:The top screen ribbon needed reseating.All okay now.
New screen perfect,good value @ €6.50!!

I actually need to replace the top screen on my sons DS lite I was just wondering if you get instructions on how to do this with the replacement screen and was the postage expensive ?

dealextreme doen't charge for postage but the assembly could be tricky if you're not into those kind of things but usually any pc repair place should be able to do it in no time if you can't find someone geeky enough you know personally

Thanks for responses and links I have just ordered 2 replacement screens allowing for a breakage and also the ds screwdriver. and I know i have to solder the speakers to the screen:eek: no worrys there is a paste I can get for that I can't wait for delivery already i'll try my han at anything at least once:p My little lad will be over the moon

Hi Serena08,
I ordered the two screwdrivers as well as the screen and used youtube as it made things easy in a step by step way.

Just make sure you get the ribbon under the clamp properly as thats where i went wrong.
