    That's America not Ireland.

It's not like the dog woman here didn't get any warning.

So you don't think a €500 fine for not having a dog on a leash is excessive?

I did not even know that this was breaking the law. Mad as far as I am concerned.

Nope. If you have a dog you need to keep him on a leash. Simple as.

Tell it to the judge I'm sure he'll really care what you think is mad.

[edit]Also - you've posted this link before Paul. Did you write the article or something? You seem very interested in it. [/edit]

 And no doubt the fine money would have gone to helping children with luekemia. So not only did she not pay a fine, she caused the death of a young child, unknown heart break for the family, and lost tax revenue due to time off work. This tax revenue also deprived others of mediacl treatment and so the vicious cycle continues.........

My neighbour is a solicitor. His most used phrase is as follows "if you want justice, the last place to look is the courtroom".

I was shocked at the response of other posters.

I wonder what peoples reactions if the dog attacked a young child and killed it. People just don't have a fking clue who to back. It's quite annoying.

The fine was not excessive. 50,000 would be excessive. She didn't pay it, she paid with going to jail, tough sh!t.

A dog should be allowed off a leash so long as it has a muzzle.

Some could even say it's animal cruelty to keep a dog in a leash, what's the fúcking point in bringing the dog out if it can't even have a bit of a run about?

Stupid fúcking Ireland. (assuming it's illegal here also)
