Just got my permit in the post from Dublin City Council to shoot feral pigeons in certain parts of Dublin City. These pigeons are a major pest and cause serious damage to many of our protected buildings. I can shoot them betwen the hours of 11.00am and 3.00pm and have to use sub sonic 24g cartridges.
I'm looking forward to starting next Monday but I have problem. My pointers are not much good at retrieving, especially in traffic. Is there anyone out there with a retriever who is good in traffic who might give me a hand? I intend to start in Nassau street at the side of Trinity College and it can be busy with buses and cars along there.

    PM Me!

Ya, and stay away from that GPO place, it's riddled with bullet holes, darn shooters have it ruined banging those pesky pigeons over the years...

Look Pull, if you're going to be going round encouraging dangerous and illegal behaviour like that, we're going to have to ban you.

Nothing dangerous about it. I'm setting the hide up behind the college wall and shooting up through the railings. All shot will be upwards so pedestrians will be safe. I have to put up two red warning flags, one each side of the hide. Hope they don't scare off the pigeons.

See, that only sounds okay. You'll have to make sure that none of the socialist student group think that they've misplaced one of their flags - they could get injured trying to retrieve it.
Also, you'll have to check with the trinity rifle club, as all shooting on college grounds comes under their purview - that's why the paintball society has to use off-campus grounds. That caused a fairly nasty political spat there a few years ago when they set up, something we wouldn't want to see repeated.
