    Do you mean you want to convert them from .jpg format to .gif or do you want to make an animated gif. I dont know about animated gif's but if you want to just change their format you could just open them with a image program like paint and click Save As then under the filename change the filetype to Gif. If you have lots of images you should download Ifranview and use it's Batch Conversion . The quality of your images after conversion will be very poor.

    Thanks trazix, I should of said animated gifs. Everything I found didn't make much sense to me. I'm thinking of taking a few pics in a moving car and making a animated gif from them

    Its a bit hard to explain, if I could show you I would!

    Firstly, make a layer for each frame you want (using photoshop)
    import it into imageready
    then just set the number of frames you want and hide / show whichever layer you want in each frame

    Search for Serif PhotoPlus and download the free version or you can pay £10 for the full version. It will do animated gifs.

    There's a few online tools that will also do this for you, e.g. http://www.gifninja.com (seems to just support 5 input images, but you can select the animation speed).

    Another option a number of people use is Animation Shop which was/is packaged with some versions of Paint Shop Pro. This is specifically designed for working with animated gifs, although you might find Photoshop easier to work with.
