So the other night, there was nothing on the TV so I decided to throw on one of those free DVDs that come with the newspapers these days. T'wasn't great stuff at all but at least it was only an hour and a half long.

So tonight, there was nothing on the Internet so I decided to read one of those free posts that come with afterhours these days. T'wasn't great stuff at all but at least it was only a line and a half long.

This. A 2004 TV movie called Try to Remember by Mary Higgins Clark. The only fractionally well-known person in it is Gabrielle Anwar who was famous for about 20 seconds for dancing with Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman. Another actor in it apparently provided the voice of He-Man in The New Adventures of He-Man (I didn't know He-Man had had old adventures).

You do know those DVDs are only given away because the publishers know that the paper in question is so bad they have to give some crap away so at least some morons will buy it...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

It's a two prong effort. Distributors did the maths and realised wrt to certain movies that they can make more money from 'giving it away' (they actually do get a cut) than if they tried to just sell the movie in stores.
