Dboys M4, it's the M4A1 back with a cqb front end for the rail...

I was going to use it for cqb but want to get some new stuff and it needs to go.

Shoots at about 270-280fps (.2g)
From memory, I think I changed the hop up rubber and put in a set of 7mm bearing bushings but I cant honestly remember. I can open it and check if someone really needs confirmation.
It comes with the front end from the M4A1 allowing a battery to be stored in the handguard.
I dont have a peq box for it so a battery would need to be held on with tape or something if you've none either, or the other front end put on...
Comes with a charger and dboys battery (neither worth much to be honest but better than nothing, so included.)
No carry handle and the sight is missing the round nut to attach it on the top rail.

It's been painted a few times - but been repainted back to black (sort of texture finish).
Comes with a box.

Nothing special but it's full metal and is a heavy little beast.

Really looking to sell - paypal good but cash welcome.

Looking for €110 collected or delivered within about an hour of Naas area.
Would consider a trade for a G23F or 226/229 in working condition.

No, battery powered.

:(Just seeing this now - I have already changed the foregrips to hold the battery but opened the case to have a look at the bearings and they're still the original nylon ones. Split the gearbox to change them to new metal 7mm bearings. It's currently on the operation table.
If the patient survives - I'll let you know with a repost here.

Ok here's the update...



Changed the front end - the rails just popped out and I put the handguards in thieir place. :)So she's still a short barrelled cqb with handguard battery compartment up front.
Opened it up to replace the standard nylon bushings and discovered all I have here is 6mm bearing bushings, and I've only 5 of em too.:(:confused: (not 7mm as needed in dboys gearbox).

I'm just leaving the standard bushing in it for the mo.

Noticed couple of bits of chaffing on the piston - still working but needs to be replaced. All the gears are perfect (as expected with dboys). It could also do with a proper spring - the spring that's in it is a cut dboys overpowered one. A proper 1J spring should bring it back up to approx 320fps/.2g. As opposed to 270 'ish at the mo.

Anyway, I'm not really overly interested in doing this work - only to sell it afterwards. If necessary I will.

If anyone is interested in it as-is: I'd sell it for €70 (for the lot).
I can put it back together or leave it open for inspection and upgrading by the buyer.

had to put it back together again to make sure it's still ok and to chrono - 280+ fps fairly consistently.
Took a pic of it together again and beside a regular M4A1 for comparison...
It's the short one on the right!

Same deal as before except you now know the internals and it's €40 cheaper at €70 (was €110)!!

Classic Army Sportsline - this one I use as a backup. Gears replaced with a Dboys set and 6mm plastic bushings changed at same time. Hopup replaced too. Sometimes fires 2 bb's in semi (somthing to do with the hopup I think) - never been an issue for me.:)
The front upper handguard is broken - so needs to be taped up or replaced.
Has XM177 flash hider. No battery or mag.
Fires about 280fps. Few minor repairs here and there -

I'll take the Classic Army for 80. Will be driving to Cork on wednesday so I can drive through Kildare for pickup if it suits!

Also, one question, does the Classic Army take any kind of M4 mag (i.e JG or DBoys)?

I'm happy with €70. (use the tenner to put towards a top handguard).

It will take most of the mags I've tried in it - dboys, ca, magpul...
Happy to try any you want before you buy, but I dont think I ever tried a mag which didnt fit. The Dboys is more fussy.
