    I bought something off a website and paid through paypal. I recieved the item but its not what I ordered. I have emailed the company but have heard nothing- its prob a scam site! Anyway went to open a dispute with paypal and the message I get is that the item I purchased is not covered by buyer protection. I was under the impression that anything purchased through paypal was covered?

    They only cover what they want to cover, and it's usually limited to eBay, though there are a few others included too.

    If you used your credit card to pay via paypal you could try a charge back, I think.

    Paypal only offer buyer protection through ebay.

    Hhow did you fund your paypal money, was it already in the account or did you raise it off your Credit Card?
