    FESTIVAL UNDER THE CLOCK
    - 25th April 2009 -

    The Arts Management and Production class from Rathmines College are delighted to present to you FESTIVAL UNDER THE CLOCK, a segment of Rathmines Festival. The organisation of this one day festival is part as our course and will be held on 25th April from 2:30 pm to 10:00 pm in The Town Hall, Rathmines College.

    During the day you can enjoy an African dance show (Wassa Wassa ,live music (Colm Ó’Snodaigh), a poetry performance (Gerry Murphy & Ger Wolfe) and finally a tribute to Luke Kelly (The Legend of Luke Kelly). These events are FREE and open to the public.:D

    Wassa Wassa – 2: 30 pm
    West African percussion, Song and Dance Group, they use the traditional rhythms and dance they perform contemporary and traditional African songs, adding their own arrangements and wear traditional costumes and hats you won’t forget! They include audience participation.

    Colm Ó’Snodaigh – 3:30 pm
    This composer, musician and writer, best known as a member of the band Kila has recently released his first solo album Giving. Songs full of stark beauty, majestic soundscapes, honest emotion and gentle reflection.

    Ger Wolfe and Gerry Murphy – 4:30 pm
    Ger Wolfe and Gerry Murphy will perform together, mixing song and poetry in a unique performance.

    The Legend of Luke Kelly – 8:00 pm
    Luke Kelly will always be remembered as the greatest folk singer/artist of the 20th century.It is the mission of Chris Kavanagh and The Patriots to bring a taste of the late, great Luke Kelly back into peoples lives.
