Copyright Question !!

    Hi Folks,

I am DJ'ing at a retro themed birthday party in a hotel in a couple of months time.

I was thinking of putting together a video of some retro TV clips, retro movies (short clips) retro ads - retro sporting events etc.

The idea would be to project this on a wall, with no audio obviously.

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking I would probably be breaking every copyright law under the sun, but hoping maybe there may be exceptions as it is older material, and just short clips etc.

    Can anyone offer advice ?!

    Many thanks in advance

Immediate position is that legal advice is not allowed on this thread - but you knew that, as you read the forum charter, didn't you?

The answer is potentially, it depends on the amount you are using. Take issue to a solicitor.

    Tom
