Thanks for adding the poll, mods... I gave 5 stars. Probably deserved 4 but the extra one is for the excitement of having this return to form.

I'm not too gone on the idea of Sylar now being a shape-shifter... Makes him a little too omniscient.... The partnership between him and Danko is fairly believable though. It's almost like Sylar's playing a game, trying to come up with a new situation for himself while getting ahead along the way. Danko is just desperate....

Peter and Angela's bits were cool. I liked the calm desperation of it all.

Claire actually wasn't annoying in this episode (Fuller, you genius) and Nathan was decent too. I don't like his flip-flopping but at least his latest change of heart is justified, motivated by guilt and desperation (which really is a theme in this volume...).

H.R.G. was underplayed kinda but just wasn't his episode I guess. I feel really sorry for him for seeing Sylar's apparently dead body.... He's in for some shock....

There weren't any other characters involved in this episode, which is refreshing cos it meant it wasn't as frantic and scattered. Yay.

I thought this was a terrible episode. The worst ever in the history of the program. There were so many times when I was just shaking my head in disbelief.

The Claire/Nathan scenes were terrible imo. The whole drinking contest thing... what was the point? And the predictable make up at the end was just the icing on the cake.

Peter talking to God was so cringeworthy.

The Sylar/Danko thing was decent but could have been done better.

The show is getting worse and worse. Fugitives has been by far the worst of the volumes. I have no interest to see the next episode, which is unusual for me but has been happening with this volume.

I thought it was ok, the sylar & Danko bits were good and I didn't see the sylar dead body twist coming.

I didn't like the Angela & Peter in the church bit. Far too drawn out and not interesting enough.

The whole time Angela was talking about how she cant sleep, so she can't figure out what she needs to do, I was thinking why doesn't peter just touch her and take her power and then go for a nap. Then they could have known exactly what to do without spending hours in a dark and boring church talking to statues.

Well at least they found a way of writing Zachary Quinto out of the show without killing off the character.

It was a alright episode, a bit of a filler ep.

I thought that too but he's been getting alot out of his flight power. I doubt he wants to forfeit that without knowing he'll get it back soon, especially for a passive power like dreaming the future....

Holy ****! Claire was actually decent in this episode. That's the first time I've ever said that. For the first time ever, she was actually acting and not whining about not having a normal life.

Nathan was great in this episode too. The peter/angela bits were kinda meh but the episode get's a solid 8/10 from me.

I like that they're not trying to jam every character into every episode.

Overall I though it wasn't too bad, More story than action but at least it had purpose and It could of been the first episode of this volume. I though the Angela and Peter scenes were awful, their both in the show 3 years and now only start finding them selfs:eek: Claire and Nathan bonding all a bit boring. Sylar and Danko was the only thing that held the story the episode together. Interesting to see what next weeks episode will hold.

Liked the use of music in this episode and the camera work/shots seems improved.

It was a pretty decent episode. The Sylar and Danko bits were the best and as people have said Claire wasn't annoying in this episode. I thought that the Peter and mother bits were ok. It just took a bit too long for her to sleep and then to reveal that she has a sister. I wonder what her power is and if it has anything to do with the stained glass angel. Perhaps she's a nun now?

When Peter was talking to Jesus I was half wondering if they are going to say that Jesus was a Hero. I bet lots of people in the US would love it if they did ;):D

i think denko has taken on board what h.r.g. said bout using people wit powers as assets, he's using Sylars greed for powers to get in close enuff to finish him off. if it is the case denko has bitten off more than he can chew!

    gave it a 4

I would give it a 4/5 also. It was pretty good I thought. Reminded me a bit of Angel in its first season. Dark and brooding with more emphasis on the characters.

    Warm fuzzies. Yay!
I personally thought it was the best episodeof the season thus far, i also felt the acting was alot better and i found Nathan very good in particular....whats also interesting is Hayden. She's a much prettier girl without all the heavy slap...most of the time she looks like a Barbie doll. Sylsr was DA BOMB!...it's all in the eyes and the evil smirks, toal class!

It wasn't as action packed as last week but the tone of the episode was excellent, i liked the bits with it raining...it added atmosphere. This is definately a step in in writing and how the episodes are being produced. I gave it five stars :-)

Can i also add that the very end music and how it was used was really excellent!!

Agreed. Made me think of the very first episode, when the Rogue Wave song "Eyes" started playing. Made me feel really really good about the show returning to form.

    Warm fuzzies. Yay!
it was an excelent EP 5/5 for me, why couldnt this have been the start of the season rather than the end, though im relly looking forward to season 4, i know 3 isnt over but season 4 is starting to look like it will be very good,

clair was excellent in this ep, wouldnt mind a bird that could drink anyone under the table, and shes lookin pretty fine to boot,

nathan seems to acknowledge that he has fallen big time, and has to start up the ladder yet again,

angela is the same as nathan, she been in the clouds so long she thought she'd ever be touched, will be good to see who angela really is now, how she reacts under pressure, she didnt get to where she is by fluke,

peter, youd really feel sorry for him, hes been trying to be a hero for 3 years, and he done a lot of good things, but hasnt been rewarded for it, he is a good person, and just isnt getting the break he deserves, (in 2 or 3 future flashes peter turns out bad, and i think this will happen if things dont change for him)

sylar is a genius, danko thinks hes in charge of the game, hell be really sorry with the end game, sylar is 2 steps ahead of danko already, he can now be anyone, anywhere, (if theres any chance to stop sylar id say peter will have to get hes powers back and quick,)

danko, i think hell be dead by seasons end i will be very shocked if hes about next season, he just doesnt know what hes doing, as HRG said he should know from hes past that he should use locals, but you dont go asking the king for help or hes evil brother, you get the servants and paupers to help out

very well balanced episode, 3 story lines and enough time to play all 3, i think this has been a major problem with heros, not storyline per-say, but the amount of caracters in play in any given episode, this episode had 6 caracters in play, each with an equal share, so each had enough screen time to play there part, (think) 45 minutes by 6, is about 8 minutes each, which isnt bad,

think if hiro, ando, matt parkman, baby matt, mohinder, micah, tracy (or her other sister), HRG, and then throw in the kind of story lines given, (time travel takes up a lot of time i think, one group trying to find another could take 5-6 epsiodes when is should take 2 max, ) its taking to long for for a story to develop, the story line for a show like this are endless, wheres the crative problem, there plenty of source material, in comic books, short stories, politics, action, just make sure each story is well thought out and you know exactly where the story is going to be in 2 years time, not where its going to be next month

    Who cares? *yawn*
there were atleast 2 good things about this ep imo

    1) was that it focussed on only a few characters... no Parkman/Dafney, Hiro/Ando, Tracy/Micah, Mohinder etc...

    2) also that Coste Verde was left behind... okay so Mexico/drinking contest etc was unnecesary but Claire needed to get out of Coste Verde a long time ago. She can go with Nathan and be involved in stories not about her trying to have a normal life at the family home and maybe be more likeable now i.e not just in a shes hot way

I also do like Sylar and Danko teaming but as has been said dont really like that Sylar is now a shapeshifter too although as mentioned it could help if the actor isnt available in the future.

The scene with Peter talking to god was frickin horrible though afaic, Peter really is my least fav character atm which really is a pity as i guess he is the lead goodguy even if Nathan is supposed to be Superman ;)

Good episode. Nice twist at the end of the episode. When Sylar and Danko were walking out of the night club, I thought Danko was the shapeshifter, and then bang!

Now we know how Zachary Quinto is going to be written out of the show. They will need a good actor(s)/actress(s) to take over his role. Quinto played it fantastically! He'd better come back for a few cameo appearances!

I doubt they'll let Sylar survive if Quinto is leaving the show. It'd be tacky and lame. If Quinto's leaving, I want a death. At the hands of Peter. :)

I agree I'd loose all respect for the show if they continued on Sylar with shapshifting although it is an ambitious way out of it.

I want to see Sylar either stroll off into the sunset or a badass death scene.

I have this image in my head that Sylar is only helping Danko in the words his father used "becasue he can" it wouldn't surprise me at all if he screwed him over and relesed everyone come the end of the season.

    That's only me hoping though

is there talk of quinto leaving the show, i know he has the second star trek film to make, but this shapeshifing thing will really help clear he schedual if needs be,

id danko does die i wonder who would kill him, it wont be sylar,

Its only rumors about him leaving, but he's got bigger fish to fry now.

Publicity band wagon starts soon on the Trek film so hes not gonna be around much for heroes filming.

sylar is leaving - does faith know this?

Thats new to me... is he going on to do another project or is he just jumping a sinking ship? The bad episodes Sylar and HRG have been carrying the show.

    Slyler is leaving?

I suppose that could experment with different acters/actreses till they found one the fans liked as much as they do quinto.

Episode was ok i gave it 4 but it probally should have been a 3. Wouldnt be arsed watching it again like comany man or 5 years later.

Sylar gone? - maybe that should have spoilereded

    Heroes is back.
    Damn straight.

    That was downright entertaining.

I guessed very early on that the guy was a shapeshifter and he had taken hunter guy's place. He was the only one to survive, we didn't know what the fugitive's power was and he was getting way too much camera time and staying close to Danko.

Also, fecking great use of music in this episode.

    More like this!

Wasnt a bad episode, bit borig but it was a good episode filler.

Me thinks that peter will some how touch parkmans baby and get all his powers back.

Danco has seriously taken on more than he can chew.

If it's Peter, I won't be watching Season 4. Hopefully it'll be Mohinder or Parkman. I always liked Parkman but he's kinda run out his clock. Mohinder did that a long time ago and NEEDS to be axed.

well, I like the sylar as shifter thing. it ties in with the future Hiro originally saw (was it hiro?) where Sylar was pretendign to be Nathan as president.

when we saw illusion girl i went, "ah, thats where he gets the power to impersonate nathan" but then she got deaded and I got confused. This week I went, "aha!" for the first time in a long time with this series.

however, when I turned triumphantly to my better half she looked very unimpressed and stated "so they hit the reset button and diluted everyone's powers so they could come up with some way to get back to the storyline before they messed it up"....

and then I was sad once more.

oh, and how was sylar popping into and out of the meetings with Danko ? did he kill a teleporter or a speedster ?

There are certain things that seem to be inevitable in the show. Every future incarnation of Peter we've seen has a scar across his face. The erradication of a large portion of people seems inevitable (and seems to be getting larger). Perhaps Sylar taking Nathan's spot will be something similar. If you take that to be true, the surely the (philosophical) universe would find a way to make this possible for Sylar. The illusionist dies and Sylar suddenly comes across a shape-shifter. Doesn't really matter anyway. I could rationalise every simple slip or plot-hole and make it all work out but why bother? Accept that it's science-fiction and roll with it.

Sylar has always had very vague powers that were never explained. The first time Parkman comes across Sylar in S1, he shoots him several times. Sylar then rises from the ground and somehow disappears upwards. It implies that the bullets didn't kill him and he flew away, but we know he can't yet regenerate or fly... Later, HRG shoots him in his kitchen and he reels across the room yet the bullets never touch him. Confabulate something up on your own. No explanations necessary; it's Sylar.

OK. Someone please check the attached image and tell me the guy in the green tshirt isn't that twat that was trying to get in claire's pants back in season 2. He had better not show his stupid face again unless of course Sylar runs into him and decides to kill him in the most brutal way he can just for shíts and giggles.

How many shots of tiquela did Nathan have? I think yer man said 22. If you drink 22 shots of tequila you're going to both a) shít yourself and b) try and make love to an inanimate object, changes are both at the same time (believe me I learned this from experience).

Peter and Mama Petrilli scenes were complete cack. The bit were they hide from Noah in the confessional box was pretty stupid.

Mama Petrelli: Hurry lets hide in here.
    Peter: But they'll find us!!!!!
Mama Petrelli: No, Noah, has a pathological fear of door knobs. He'll never look in here.

Peter whining to God was pretty bad as well. These whole scenes could have been avoided if Peter just bought the season 2 heroes boxset. An episode or two and Mama Petrelli would be out like a light.

The sylar and danko scenes were quite good and them joining up should be a nice addition. Best bit was the look on Sylar's face after he says "You don't chase a shape shifter". Brilliant. If they get rid of or lose zachary quinto the show will seriously lose out.
