Us ? We went ......here...... :):)

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

no, you could do the following at the 'ring: pass in a GT3, drive a Clio 197, pass in Alfa 75 V6.

As it was lashing rain, hail, and had snow the evening before, I know the GT3 would be hamstrung, and so it was. Besides, I was more interested in the SO's experience, so the Alfa on full wets was the place to be.

oh, and a lap in the GT3 was Eur229, so, tbh, imho, not worth it. If I was on my own, I'd have done the Clio - drive 3 laps for Eur 190 iirc.

The track is frightening - bears no relation to a circuit, let alone the road. 21kms around, 150+ corners iirc.........

Oh, and full wets get a ++++ - astonishing what you can do on them, and when the guy who's piloting you -
    Ron Simons
with 1k+ laps is at the wheel............well, I'd be pissed in my RS5 if an ancient 75V6 came past on the outside, in the rain, too........ ;) ditto the guy in the 964 :)

Robtri - don't hate me, just go! :D : Eur 79 flight, Eur 49 B & B at the track. Full 3-course lunch in hotel Eur 9.50. Cheaper than a weekend out in Galway. ! Hotel in question is no less than that of the Schmitz family, so you're in good company.

On their homepage they show the new Megane RS260 - it was span, span new, so it wasn't used, but that'd be the car I'd go for, tbh..........
