I'm interested in having this done and i was wondering what people's results were like?

Especially a year or more on after the op.

And if you could recommend any clinics that would be great, i know that most people will probably just say that the place they went to was great but if you could give some reasons aswell that would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks!

I was hoping to do the same since 2001. Back in Ukraine/Russia it was widely available at that time and it's still cheaper than EU. Quality is good too and it's constantly improving. My mother did similar operation before lasers came to use and still happy.
I would advise to consider not only local clinics. Here we have a population only 4mln, where in Ukraine there is about 50mln. I'd say eye surgeons have more expericence in bigger countries.
    Good luck!

I had Lasik eye surgery done in 2008 with Optical Express. I found the procedure was fine and not painful afterwards although I had 'dry eye' for about 6 months which I used regular eye drops in the morning for. In the beginning my eyesight was better than 20/20. However 4 years later my eyesight started to deteriorate and I needed glasses again. That was 2012 and Optical Express said they would do nothing for me. Until I tweeted about it this year (2014). They were straight on to me with an offer of free Lasek enhancement. I had this surgery done last week. I can now see perfectly again and the procedure was pain free, however, afterwards I was in a lot of pain. I had it done on Friday and after the anesthetic wore off I couldn't even open my eyes as it was so painful. I had to try and put the drops in though, it is literally a week recovering and then you're totally fine but be prepared for the pain and discomfort. Neurofen plus helped a small bit.
