Festivals South America

    Hi all. Myself and a mate are going to South America on the 15th June. We are flying into Buenos Aires. At the moment, we are planning our trip through other friends’ advice but nothing is set in stone. We fly out of Chile 3 months later but may change flight and stay another month – depending on how we’re getting on!

    Just wondering – does anybody know of any cool festivals and their dates that might be on while we’re there? Could give us a reason to make our way to certain places by certain times. Thanks!

    I'm doing a similar trip...out of curiosity, how much money are you bringing ?

    Most of the big festivals there take place in November and December as far as I know.

    Well i'm not sure - plan is to have about 10k but i will be in NZ, Australia and hopefully Asia too...

    I have been told by a few people that 1k a month would have you living fairly comfortable. :cool:

    Ive just arrived at the start of mine in Rio, and yeah, I got the same sort of figures from friends whove been before. Give yourself leeway of 1500 a month and you wont go wrong.

    Ah no... well sure well see what happens! Think brazil is more expensive. Well ex of mine said its very expensive compared to some of its neighbours.
