should I wait for this newer model the NC110 - or as planned buy an NC10?

the newer model has better battery, and touchpad, but otherwise is similar. (One negative thing I did note in the specs tho' is a max 1gb of memory suggesting it cannot be upgraded - i seem to recall this being a condition set by microsoft for continuing with XP, I think Dells new 10" netbook is similarly constrained)

It is really? The first thing I did with my NC10 was upgraded it to 2MB. It depends what you want really, if it was me personally, get the NC20 - I wish I waited until the NC20 was out, same great spec and looks with a bigger screen (yet still very portable).

The NC110 offers very little difference (it's almost like bug fixes / tweaks) - if you want the newest and latest, go for the NC110. If you want a bigger screen, go for the NC20 but if you want a great Netbook now (the best of them all) - I highly recommend the NC10 + 2GB RAM off Elara.

    Kingston 2GB RAM (€24.30) + Samsung NC10 (€351.14) = €375.44 well spent! :D PS: The Samsung NC20 is also purty! (€428.90)

Personally I'm holding out for 3 reasons
    (1) The main, revered "USP" feature of the NC10 is its battery life i.e. 6 cell, in the region of 6 hours. The newer version takes this to a new level, 9 cell, in the region of 9 hours!
    (2) The main criticism of the NC10 is its small touchpad. The newer version corrects this, and is in line with other comparable netbooks.
    (3) The NC10 has been out nearly 6 months and the newer version is reportedly out the first week in April...hopefully! Although, if anyone in the trade can confirm this, I would be grateful.

I think they are both great machines but I figure I may aswell hold out for the slightly improved version - if its not too long away!

OP, looking at the NC110 spec page, its a 6-cell battery like the NC10 rated at 5900mAh.
The original NC10 is also a 6-cell battery rated at 5200mAh.
You may get 45mins-1hr extra with this bigger capacity battery.

The specs for both netbooks are identical, looks like styling changes and bigger touchpad.

It's April 25th and I haven't seen this in any shops yet, even when I ask no one knows what I'm talking about, they just push the NC10, anyone know if there's any sign of it coming out?

    Thanks :)
