the shops are pretty much what we have here, a wear, next etc
Id recommend Belfast, was there myself on sat.
Lots of shops, alot better than newry id say.
Didnt have enough time to get around them all.
Theres a huge shopping centre, supposed to be twice as big as dundrum!

Coming from Dublin it took me 2.5 hours to get to belfast.

Would not recommend Newry for clothes shopping at all.. yes a big shopping centre (with a Debenhams) but the range of clothes and size of shop for things like River Island etc, is much smaller, and just wasn't impressed at all. Having said that, I did get my Wii up there and saved a packet so that did the job.

For clothes shopping you're better off hitting for Belfast or 'Derry, Newry just doesn't cut it.:(

yeah I lived in Newry- there is stuff there but you will get a wider choice in Belfast- the shops in Newry aren't huge. There's a gorgeous dress in River Island at the moment, I bought it in Dublin last week for €53. It comes in a few different colours- light mint green, blue and yellow are the ones I saw. It's a one shoulder bandau dress- it looks satin but it's not and has a black ribbon on an empire style waist. it's lovely and pretty cheap, very dressy.
If you go to www.riverisland.com and look at going out dresses- the blue one is on the 3rd page you click to see.

by the way- newry has an ok River Island, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, small New Look, Debenhams, smallish A-Wear. Check out the TK Maxx down in the Creamery area
