Anybody know anything about building a dual rail power supply to give me +V/0V/-V and +48V all DC for a mic amp.

I'll need to put 24 to 30Vac into the circuit (probably a kit), I'm wondering what toroid transformer I should start with. 230Vac down to 24Vac or whatever.

Also if I need say 100mA for one mic amp will I need 200mA for 2 or is it a series type affair.

Also if I have 2 mic amps, do I need 3 or 5 rails. I can run all the amps off the same rails yeah?
