Smash bros melee and brawl tournament!

    WHEN: April 4th/5th 2009

    WHERE: UCD Convention Centre, University College Dublin, Belfield, Co. Dublin 4, Ireland

    WHAT TIME: Sign-ups start at 12pm on the 4th. Singles tournament starts at 2pm.

    HOW MUCH: We don't know yet. Last year the convention centre was €5 for a day pass, and €8 for a weekend pass. That's just to get into the building. For the tournament we did it at €2 per person and €2 per team. So if you entered everything, that's €14/£12/$18, for the whole weekend! What a bargain!

    MELEE OR BRAWL: At this point, we hope to do both.

    WILL accomodation be provided: No unfortunately, since this takes place in a convention centre and not someone's home, there is no guarantee of a free place to sleep. If people coming from afar are interested though, I'm more than happy to find some cheap hotels near the venue.
    Hello Gentlemen,

    Sorry about being so quiet on the Smash front for so long, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I've been contacted by the Director of UCD's Vaticon convention, and they've asked me if we want to run another Smash tournament at their next event.

    My initial response was "Hell yes!", and I've asked them to send me on some details and dates so we can begin working on the tournament.

    I'm sure everyone remembers our last tournament, which was a runaway success, and rapidly expanded to take over half the convention space.
    The date for Vaticon is April 4th and 5th of 2009.
    This gives us a lot of time to get ready, and decide on what we're doing.

    There will be prizes for singles and doubles tournaments as well as tournaments for other games

    Hmm so no one likes smash then......damn more money for me.
