Trying to reduce repeat threads

Just a suggestion for the new thread button, I was thinking that the "New Thread" button could cause an ajaxy drop down where you can type in your new thread subject and click next.

After you click next there is a search done and any previous threads that might be relevant are shown to the user so they can see if their post has already been discussed previously.

This would hopefully cut down on a lot of the repeat threads that keep coming up in certain forums (for example there is a picture of the Obama inauguration that gets posted nearly once a month in the photogs forum :D)

Would it slow things down a lot though?

It would help in the satellite forum as a lot of threads repeat themselves.
Good idea but haven't the foggiest whether it could be implemented.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
