So my brother works for a very small company. Hes an apprentice carpenter. Theres not much work at the moment so 2 weeks ago he was told that he couldnt work on Mon and Tues and to just come in on Wed. He didnt get payed for these 2 days.
His boss has just rang him now to say not to come in till Thurs this week. He worked today so is now down to 3 days again this week.
My quetion, can he claim for these 2 days?

he needs to enquire about x's and o's in the local social welfare. every week his employer will need to sign slip saying which days he worked and if he has 3 or less days work he will get social welfare payment. not sure how much payment is or anything though. he should go in asap coz like every other SW payment it will prob take a few weeks to get sorted
